Just a quick thingie, I was practicing using different colours on top of each other with my markers to create shadows and stuff. It didn't work so well so I used pencil instead.

Well, on the bright side, you're getting the hang of using markers 
The tricky of shading with markers is that colour an area too much and it goes through the page!
When it comes to making areas lighter, it might be a good idea to start with the lightest shade, then go darker bit by bit. (Helps having a really wide variety of markers)
If you don't want to ruin the picture, have a paper on the side to test the effects of the markers before doing
Practice makes Perfect! And requires PATIENCE! XD
